Lots of apples in baskets

Apple day

October 12th
This day is all about the apple. There is a lot to see and discover again. A large exhibition of apple varieties can be admired in the dance hall from Pingsdorf. The apple memory, a juice press, handicraft activities and delicious apple dishes and products to try are waiting for children and adults. Anyone who has unknown apple varieties in their own garden can have them identified by a pomologist at the apple festival. At least five apples that have seen a lot of sun should be brought along to determine the variety. Knowledge or a photo of what the tree looks like is also good. Several stands offer a variety of apples and apple products, such as rare regional fruit varieties, cider and "Viez" as well as apple pancakes. Anyone who has always wanted to know how a wagon wheel is made can look over the shoulders of the wheelwright and blacksmith at 12 noon and 3 p.m. Then the tires glow again.

Line 773 runs as a regular bus during “Nach der Ernte” (instead of the usual cab bus). You therefore do NOT need to book the bus in advance.
