In our courses, workshops and projects you can immerse yourself in the everyday world of the Rhinelanders in the past and today, experience how they lived and worked and get to know handicraft and household techniques or explore nature.
The broad program offers offers for all age groups: from audio guides Guided tours of guided tours through the site, holiday offers, workshops and courses for adults and children, organized birthday parties and a children's museum guide. With special programs for schools, classes can experience for a few hours or for a whole week what everyday life in the Rhineland used to be like.
The WaldPädagogikZentrum Eifel (WPZ) invites you to experience the forest with a varied programme, from forest kindergarten to forest educational projects and team training for adults.
The museum offers numerous action-oriented, exciting and mostly inclusive projects on a wide variety of museum topics.

Between July and October, two open tours on various exciting topics related to the open-air museum take place every Sunday.

The friends' association of the open-air museum offers a diverse and varied program of courses for adults and children.

There are exploration sheets for each of the five building groups Westerwald, Eifel, Niederrhein, Bergisches Land and the Rhineland marketplace in an easier and a more difficult version. Pupils can use them to discover the museum on their own.

During the summer and autumn holidays in North Rhine-Westphalia and Rhineland-Palatinate, the open-air museum and the Eifel Forest Education Center offer an interesting and varied range of hands-on activities.
Holiday program
There is a separate museum guide for children. It explains the buildings of the museum, there are also no games from earlier times, recipes to try at home and a small quiz.
