The Open Air Museum is one of the largest in Europe. You will need to take some time to view the historical houses and exhibitions in the 110-hectare grounds. In order to stroll through the museum once, looking at things here and there, you need at least two hours, for the exhibition „We Rhinelanders“ another hour.
The museum is open every day of the year. Most visitors come at the weekends in summer, so that these are our busiest times. Mondays and Fridays are especially suitable for a quieter and deeper involvement with the museum.
