Guided tour of the Rhineland market square

The fifth building group, the Rhineland market square, is dedicated to the period between 1945 and 1990. During this period, the urban development of the rural area is associated with the dissolution of the traditional regional building methods that characterized the townscape and landscape up until the 19th century. Gradually, a small town with buildings, shops and the associated infrastructure is emerging on the Rhineland market square. The participants discover the most diverse housing and living conditions here: from emergency shelters to chic bungalows from the time of the economic miracle. And they embark on a journey into their own biography or that of their parents and grandparents.
